I love my work.

I have been a professional in the world of advertising and communications for more than 30 years. I began specializing in web design in 1996 and have found it to be particularly enjoyable.

One of the things I like most about web design is working with light as part of the medium. Also, as the speed of internet access increases, developing exciting multimedia presentations for businesses on the web are more and more intriguing and accessible. This keeps me on my toes honing my skills and learning new software.

I began my career in communications as a radio announcer at KPLC FM in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1968. After that I spent several years in the field of corporate advertising in Dallas,Texas, before moving to California. During the 1970's and 80's, I continued in radio at KVON/KVYN in the Napa Valley, while simultaneously establishing myself as a freelance graphic artist.

In 1986, I left radio and began working as a full-time graphic designer in the San Francisco Bay area. Through the years, I have written and produced hundreds of radio commercials, created countless logos, brochures, flyers, booklets, and catalogs, as well as illustrations, billboard designs, menus, package labels and much more for many kinds of businesses. I love challenge, variety and working with other professionals on creative projects.

My interests include songwriting, singing, and playing the piano. I actively study and practice Way of Joy Chi Kung as taught by Vicki Dello Joio and Powerful Non-Defensive Communication as taught by Sharon Ellison.

For examples of my work, see the partial list of sites I've designed. In addition, here are some of my concepts and comments regarding web design and navigation.

By the way, in case you wondered why there's a cat on my home page, it's to help with the pronunciation of my name. With their expertise in catching mice, most cats are superb Mousers (Mauzers).

Thank you for visiting. I look forward to hearing from you.
